Join 100 curious kids from Winklebury Junior School as they embark on an adventure into the wild world of biodiversity on July 6, 2025. They're diving deep into the mysterious microhabitats right in their own backyard, all while wrestling with the current predicaments facing local wildlife. Think of it as a nature documentary, but with added giggles and a whole lot of hands-on learning. The mini-explorers team up with some wildlife whizzes from the Hampshire Wildlife Trust, unraveling the secrets of the critters that call Basingstoke home. Spoiler alert: they're way cooler than you think.

And because every good adventure needs a creative twist, these budding nature enthusiasts will turn their discoveries into a massive communal artwork. Thanks to the talented textile artist Vanessa Rolf, they'll be wielding recycled fabric and print techniques like true pros. If you've ever wanted to see kids create a masterpiece while mumbling about worms and beetles, now's your chance. Who knew saving the world and arts and crafts could go hand in hand?
