Get ready for a musical trip down memory lane as the Quiristers of Winchester College take to the stage at St John the Baptist on August 3, 2025. This isn't just any concert; it's a nod to history, with the church boasting a long-standing relationship with Winchester College and its choirboys since the late 14th century. Back in the day, these scholarly lads flocked to St John's for their worship and warbling, before the college decided it needed its own chapel. Talk about making a statement.

Now, the Quiristers, a lively bunch of 16 boys aged between 9 and 13, will be showcasing some seriously stunning music. Expect to hear the sublime Messe Basse by Gabriel Fauré—perfect for setting the mood. They'll also dazzle you with the timeless Cantique de Jean Racine, all wrapped up in a charming arrangement made just for their soaring voices. And because why not throw in some cheeky fun, they'll be performing two witty song cycles by the likes of Richard Rodney Bennett and Benjamin Britten.
