Every member of your family will have an abundance of fun in the great outdoors at the [Link https://pickingpatch.com es] this October. And with an excess of 200,000 pumpkins planted, there will be plenty of these Halloween favourites to go around!

Featuring 32 varieties of pumpkin over four pumpkin filled sites, each site offers pick your own pumpkins.

So whether you love a Crown Prince, Cinderella Pumpkin, Casparita, Small Munchkins, Warty Knucklehead or a Big White Polar Bear, there will be a perfect pumpkin for you to pick.

A day at the during the month of October, will also feature Halloween crafts.

This is the perfect activity for the smallest members of your family who love to create and make things. The bigger members of the family will enjoy carving pumpkins for Halloween, and taking them home to cook up a storm with this most versatile of fruits.

Children can also enjoy some amazing activities like hunting for Toad, take part in new photo opportunities and visit the famous pumpkin house. They can even try making their own witch’s broom (for flying as opposed to brushing!) and craft their own magic wand, or tin can bat.

“Everyone who comes to our es is guaranteed a great time. There are literally thousands of pumpkins at every site." - Niall Smith, the ‘pumpkinologist’ who, along with his Dutch partner Suzanne Hennekens, is the driving force behind es.

When arriving at the es, visitors collect a wheelbarrow in which they can ‘round up’ their perfect pumpkins. Pumpkin come in a huge array of sizes and start at just £1.

es are the perfect places to get children away from their gadgets and let them run around in the fresh air. With free entry, it is a cost effective family day out where you can drive home with your car boot full of glorious pumpkins to craft and cook at home.

I can't wait, where can I find the es?

The four sites are located in Bath (Somerset), Cardiff (South Wales), Fordingbridge (Hampshire) and Sompting (West Sussex).

The sites at Bath, Cardiff and Fordingbridge will be open from 10th to 11th October, 17th to 18th October and 24th to 31st October from 9:30am to 4pm.

The site at Sompting will be open from 17th to 18th October and 24th to 31st October from 9:30am to 4pm.

Each site has its own large car park, and parking and entry is FREE, making it the perfect family outing.

Bath - Globe roundabout on the A4 near the village of Newton St Loe, BA2 9BB. If you are visiting the pumpkin patch in Bath, you will find an excess of 70,000 pumpkins on a 15-acre site! That is a LOT of pumpkins!

Cardiff - A48 between Culverhouse Cross and St Nicholas, CF5 6SF

Fordingbridge - A338 between Ringwood and Downton on the edge of the New Forest, SP6 2HA

Sampling - A27 between Worthing to Brighton turn at the traffic lights onto Halewick lane, BN15 0NE

Good to Know: Hot and cold snacks will be on sale at all sites and there are toilet facilities and plenty of free onsite parking.
